When you donate by credit card using our online donation forms, or via a monthly recurring donation, our payment processing company Stripe deducts 30 cents plus 2.9% of each transaction prior to transferring the funds to our bank account.

Our sponsoring organization, the Center for LGBTQ Economic Advancement & Research (CLEAR) does not presently charge the LGBTQ Wiki Project any fee for its administrative and custodial duties as a fiscal sponsor of the LGBTQ Wiki Project, though it may do so in the future.

Any changes to any fees deducted from your donation will be promptly communicated on our Blog and in these FAQs.

As of this time, our fiscal sponsor, the Center for LGBTQ Economic Advancement & Research (CLEAR) is a 501(c)4 organization, and donations to 501(c)4 nonprofits are not tax deductible.

However, CLEAR is currently transitioning from its incorporation as a 501(c)4 organization to become a 501(c)3 organization, and so we expect that donations to the LGBTQ Wiki Project will be tax-deductible soon.

Any changes to the tax deductibility of donations to the LGBTQ Wiki Project will be promptly communicated on our Blog and in these FAQs.

You can cancel or manage your monthly donation using the donor dashboard that should be linked in your receipt and is located HERE on our website.

You can also send us an email if you need any assistance from an LGBTQ Wiki Project team member in order to modify or cancel your monthly subscription.
